Examples of titles: Your ultimate guide to Parisian restaurants / The complete guide to vitamin and mineral supplements / SEO beginner's guide: everything you need to know
The ultimate guides are blog posts designed to be the best of the best. They're meant to be the blog post that ends all other blog posts: everything your reader will ever need to know about the topic.
To boost the SEO of the post, include a keyword in the title.

Every great guide should begin with an introductory paragraph. This is your opportunity to persuade your reader and let them know why this article will answer all their important questions. You can explain why you're the ideal person to write this guide; share a personal anecdote about how you became an expert in the field; show your empathy for the reader regarding the difficulty of finding accurate information; or emphasize common mistakes that can be avoided.
Before writing your "how-to" or "best of" entry, add a final sentence that summarizes your paragraph and provides a refined transition into your guide.
Some quick guidelines on the format
Your guide shouldn't exceed 2,000 words. In a comprehensive guide, you also have plenty of room to use your SEO keywords. Include 2-3 keywords in the post, in the "Heading 2" headings, and in the text itself. Add anchor links, similar to a table of contents, that readers can click to navigate to a specific section within the post. To add these, click "Link" in the toolbar at the top, select "Section," and choose one of the post's headings.
Heading #1: Why is this topic so important?
Heading #2: What is the specific information in your guide?
Heading #1: Why is this topic so important?
In this first section, you set the stage for your readers. This is where you remind your site visitor, in more detail, of the topic at hand. You can offer a brief history of the subject, as well as when and how it became so popular or vital; describe the geographical location or environment if your guide focuses on travel; recount the potential pitfalls that happen (or could happen) to someone who isn't up-to-date with the latest trends; and explain how the practical application of your recommendations is straightforward.
This is your opportunity to get your reader excited about the guide and appreciate the true value of reading the entire post.
To boost the SEO of the post, make sure to include keywords in the heading and format it as Heading 2 or Heading 3.
Heading #2: What is the specific information in your guide?
Get ready to explain everything! Start with one or two catchy introductory sentences to get things going, then begin sharing your ideas with your audience.
Decide from the beginning of each section whether you want to write the detailed explanation of your expert guide (for example, Parisian Restaurants, Vitamin and Mineral Supplements, or SEO Guide) as a list or as separate subheadings. The most important thing is to be consistent. Each entry should be clearly distinguished and offer your reader concrete ideas at all times.
Explain with examples and anecdotes. Try to offer different perspectives so that readers with diverse backgrounds can understand. Think about your audience. Are you addressing beginners or more advanced readers? Do you need to use a more professional writing style or a friendly, informal tone that feels more approachable?
Remember that this is the longest section of your guide. Add images to make the entry more dynamic and interesting, and include links to other sources or to one of your previous posts. You might want to include something personal or humorous throughout the guide to lighten the text and make it more enjoyable to read.
Heading #3: Does your reader feel empowered?
It's time for your readers to start applying what they've begun to master. Leave them feeling like they've learned a lot. In this final section, you can write a paragraph or two reminding your audience of what they've learned; what the first steps are that they can take to apply all your tips and guidance (for example, making reservations at the perfect restaurants in Paris for their next vacation; buying vitamin supplements or scheduling an appointment with a nutritionist; or checking their SEO ranking and keywords). Provide the necessary links (affiliate links are fine) to help your readers get started and encourage them to take off.
You can also mention other resources on your website, as well as paid services or events you offer. Don't be shy. They may have more questions after reading (or even later). Invite them to leave comments below your post to keep them engaged.
